Yosef Gilboa writes: "Here the nikkud indicates an exceptional reading of this word. The resh has a chirik and the aleph has no nikud, indicating that the "kri" of this word is korim with a silent aleph. Beware some siddurim have "corrected" this.  Check your Tanach!"
